The Simpsons Frozen Meals Range – Packaging and POS
BRIEF: To create packaging for a range of products in a very short time-frame to coincide with the launch of The Simpsons Movie.
RESPONSE: Tregartha Dinnie not only produced a creative response which optimised the value of the character to the product, but managed the package design and production through the complex process involving the character licensing group, the film company, the client and the printer.
For the launch the agency also produced a POS kit in selected stores, consisting of shelf talkers, gondola ends and leaflets.
Barista Coffee - Packaging Solution
BRIEF: To create packaging for Barista, a premium coffee brand for the food service business, following the Brand development.
RESPONSE: Food service coffee brands compete in a very competitive space, often against the 'white van' brands which are usually delivered in plain foil sachets. We needed to create a premium feel for the packaging yet retain the economies of a single film design for multiple pack sizes to reduce filling line switchover times.
The finished foil film was sourced in Denmark and featured a high quality satin sheen finish with foil show through.
Deli Q - in–flight convenience
BRIEF: To create brand and packaging solutions for in-flight snack range.
RESPONSE: Deli Q was primarily targeted at the in-flight cash snack market on low cost carriers. The products in the range, paninis, calzones and toastinis, were designed for a 'cook to order' service and utilised an innovative perforated 'ovenable' film.
The film itself had a matt sheen finish, which gave a natural, paper bag feel. The speed and ease of cooking has opened up other markets for the product, including theme parks and snack bars.
Culine - Range Packaging
BRIEF: Tregartha Dinnie was briefed to produce a brand name, logo design and packaging treatments for a major mid tier brand for Bidvest in Europe.
RESPONSE: Working with a client support team drawn from three major European territories, the brand name was created, tested and registered on a pan European basis. Extensive linguistic analysis of the name was carried out alongside qualitative research. The design was selected from a series of finished presentations and tested in user research panels.
The agency produced a system to coordinate a consistent look and feel across a wide product range even when produced by a number of different third party suppliers and print substrates.
Whites - Packaging System
BRIEF: To create brand name, logo and identity for a premium food service range to allow 3663 to market a premium price range.
RESPONSE: Tregartha Dinnie was briefed to produce a proposal for 3663, the leading food service brand in the UK. Well known for its Smartchoice, Springbourne and Coronet brands, 3663 saw an opportunity for the provision of high quality chilled and frozen menu components to the catering trade. The brand was required to communicate a number of values to its audience, the chef manager and chef proprietor, including provenance, quality and taste.
Our design team also produced the collateral items including packaging, web design and advertisements.
Following a successful launch, sales of the new product line have been strong, delivering profitable business to 3663.
McLarens - Pure & Natural
BRIEF: To create a low cost packaging system for retail display in grocery and snack outlets.
RESPONSE: A branding and packaging exercise for McLaren’s Foods. Developed originally for farmers’ markets using pure, fresh natural ingredients, the range has been repackaged for retail grocery and food service. Available in two pot sizes, in single and twin packs. We used a fold flat cover sleeve with lid locking tab, printed in full colour on quality white box board.
A range of supporting materials including a sales presenter and a website was developed.
